Job Title: Electrician
Location: Boulder, CO

A local solar electric contractor is looking for an experienced electrician

Job Summary
Electricians are responsible for all electrical work involved in the installation of PV solar systems.
Working in teams of two, electricians are responsible for planning each installation, executing work in a
timely fashion, tracking and reporting all project-related time and materials, and ensuring that projects
pass inspection. They must be comfortable working on roofs of varying heights and in attics. Electricians
should be proficient in bending conduit and have a solid understanding of the NEC 2008. Electricians
should be competent with hand and power tools, physically fit, capable of working in all weather
conditions, detail-oriented, and hard-working.

Essential Functions
• Assist lead electricians with planning and preparation for each installation
• Load materials into vehicles for each project; check vehicle for necessary stocked materials
• Drive company vehicles to and from job-sites
• Purchase job materials when necessary
• Complete all electrical work to meet IPS and NEC 2011 standards
• Complete work in a timely fashion
• Complete work accurately to ensure that project passes electrical inspection the first time
• Track and report all project-related time, materials, and mileage
• Communicate with clients in a friendly, professional manner
• Maintain tools and equipment; assess and report need for repairs, replacements, or new purchases
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of electrical storage and work areas in shop
• Participate in company meetings and events

Job Requirements and Qualifications
Education: High School or GED required
Qualifications: Journeyman License; RW License, or 1 Year Apprentice Experience
Previous Experience: Electrical work, solar installation, construction
Other Information
• Full time: Monday-Friday with occasional overtime

A local solar electric contractor is looking for installers.

Job Summary
Installers are responsible for the hands-on installation of solar electric systems. Duties include assisting
sales staff with site-assessments, planning and completing installation, managing inventory and shop
organization, maintaining equipment, and interacting with clients. Installers should be competent with
hand-tools and power tools, physically fit, capable of working in all weather conditions, detail-oriented,
hard-working, and passionate about solar.
Essential Functions
• Assist sales staff with site assessments and provide system design advice.
• Manage inventory and order materials for upcoming installations.
• Assist Project Manger in planning installation schedule; organize, fabricate, and load all materials
for a job prior to departure; ask office personnel to communicate schedule with client.
• Coordinate with subcontractors; arrange equipment rental; purchase materials when necessary.
• Interface with clients and prospects.
• Organize and clean shop; maintain company equipment including vehicles.
• Participate in company meetings and events.
• Installers may be asked to assist other departments and share any knowledge or skills they have.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
Education: High School or Equivalent Diploma
Training Requirements: SEI training desirable but not required.
Knowledge Requirements: Microsoft Office programs, e-mail and internet usage, hand and power tools,
construction, and NEC, NABCEP, and OSHA standards desirable but not required.
Experience: Solar, construction trades, engineering, climbing
