IPS Montana Completes Landmark Wendel "Turkey" Shoulder Blade Complex Installation

Independent Power Systems was fortunate enough to be contracted by the Northern Cheyenne Tribal Housing Authority (NCTHA) to install this 50kW commercial PV system on the Wendel "Turkey" Shoulder Blade Complex Tribal senior center in Lame Deer, MT. The PV system is just a portion of a large scale, Low Income Housing Tax Credit renovation project which incorporates many other energy efficiency upgrades, which in turn will lower the operation costs and allow more funding to go back into the long term maintenance of the complex. It has been a pleasure working with the Northern Cheyenne Housing Authority and IPS looks forward to a long standing relationship with such a focused and hard working community based organization.

IPS Montana Completes 23kW Townsend School Installation

Townsend School is one of the most progressive schools in Montana in terms of energy conservation and generation. With an existing bio-mass generator and recent lighting upgrades the school now houses the largest PV system on a public school in Montana. IPS was fortunate enough to work with the Townsend School district to install and commission this 22.68 grid-tied system in little over a week. With equipment in place and future plans for an installed capacity of 50kW the administrators and school officials in this small town are leading their community into a brighter energy future.
