A SOLAR-POWERED FOOD BANK FOR BILLINGS
When the Billings Food Bank moved into their new building they wanted to demonstrate their commitment to a sustainable community and invested in a 2.45 kW system comprised of fourteen 175 W BP solar panels and a Fronius 2500 W solar inverter. The panels are mounted on Unirac SolarMount railing. The Billings Food Bank solar panels were installed thanks in part to a local renewable energy grant in Montana. To date, IPS has installed solar panels on several Montana food banks including the Butte Food Bank, Great Falls Food Bank, Missoula Food Bank, Helena Food Bank, and Havre Food Bank.
